    Join Dr. Eric Johnson, Director of Choral Activities at NIU and our esteemed voice faculty for our ILMEA Vocal Audition Workshop! This year’s event will be held on Saturday, Sept. 27, 2025 and is geared towards Illinois high school students. Check-in begins at 8:30 a.m. in the School of Music Concert Hall Lobby. 

    There is a $25 registration fee for this event. Registration and payment deadline is Wednesday, Sept. 24,  2025.

    The day includes: 

    • Large group rehearsal of the All-State Choir selections.
    • Small group rehearsals of selections from your school’s ILMEA District.
    • Scales and triad training to aid in audition preparation and strengthen students’ tonal skills.
