    Join NIU School of Music's violin faculty - Blaise Magnière, Mathias Tacke, and Marie Wang - for a day dedicated to Violin players! This exciting event focuses on working with high school students, but middle school or even undergraduate students may also apply. The day will consist of a group warm-up/workshop, ensemble rehearsals and sectionals, masterclasses, a presentation on Florence Price's music, and will culminate in a group performance at 4:00 p.m. You will also learn more about NIU and the School of Music.  

    Check-in begins at 9:30 a.m. in the School of Music Concert Hall Lobby. Group warm-up begins at 10:00 a.m. There is a scheduled lunch break at 12:15 p.m. You are welcome to bring a sack lunch or visit any of the surrounding restaurants in DeKalb. 

    There is a $20 event registration fee. Please see the form for payment details.
