Join NIU School of Music’s Dr. Christopher Scanlon and Professor Pharez Whitted for a day dedicated to trumpet players! Throughout the day, you will take part in a group warm-up session, masterclass, ensemble rehearsal, learn more about NIU and the School of Music, and enjoy a special NIU faculty and student concert.
Check-in begins at 9:30 AM in the School of Music Concert Hall Lobby. Group warm-up begins at 10:00 AM. There is a scheduled lunch break at 12:00 PM. You are welcome to bring your own lunch or visit any of the surrounding restaurants in DeKalb!
For the afternoon masterclass, please print and bring a classical or jazz étude or solo. There is a $20 event registration fee. A link to payment will be sent in the confirmation email.
