Jazz Combo Day 2023

It's Jazz Combo Day! Join us for a day designed to bring individual jazz high school players to collaborate with other area high school students, NIU Jazz faculty, and guest artists!

This program requires an audition or invitation to participate. If accepted, you will participate in one of several combos at the event. Jazz Combo Day includes workshops, rehearsals, dinner, and performances from the day's student combos and of course, our NIU Jazz faculty.  

Check-in begins at 8:00 a.m. in the School of Music Concert Hall Lobby. Group warm-up begins at 1:00 p.m. There is a scheduled dinner break at 5:15 p.m.

There is a $65 event registration fee that includes dinner for the participant. Guests may attend the performance for free, but if they would like to join the participant for dinner, there is a $25 fee per guest meal. A link to payment will be sent in the confirmation email. 

Scholarship recipients will still need to complete the payment form. You will indicate you are receiving a scholarship and also have the option to purchase additional dinner tickets.
