2025 CEET Engineering Accelerator Program

NIU’s College of Engineering and Engineering Technology is excited to host our free Engineering Accelerator for new freshmen engineering majors during Week of Welcome in August. 

This experience will help you launch into your academic journey at NIU with confidence and success by focusing on:

• Getting acquainted with college-level coursework structure and expectations.
• Honing essential skills like time management and study strategies.
• Strengthening foundational math concepts.
• Applying engineering and technology principles through engaging hands-on projects.
• Reflecting on your academic and career goals in supportive group discussions.
• Fostering a sense of community and belonging through social events and team-building activities.

And much more—all at no cost.

Who: First-year pre-engineering majors.

What: FREE head start program to help you get a jumpstart on a successful college career at NIU.

When: Wednesday, Aug. 20 - Saturday, Aug. 23

Cost: $0. (Tuition for the accelerator is covered by CEET.)
