Join us for Preview Day and explore everything NIU has to offer at your own pace. Whether you stay for a while or just drop in, you’ll get a taste of our fun, welcoming community and see how our life-changing education is accessible to everyone. During the event, you can expect

A University welcome and admissions overview presentations available at multiple times throughout the day.
A resource fair that includes academic departments, student services, and cultural resource centers
A Q&A panel with current students
Presentations about financial aid, housing, and transferring to NIU
Opportunities to tour campus and a residence hall

Parking/Check-in: Complimentary parking is available in the Visitors Parking Lot, 200 Carroll Ave. Overflow parking is available in our NIU Parking Deck east of the Visitors Parking Lot. Check-in will begin at 8:30 a.m. in our Holmes Student Center. View a campus map and directions to DeKalb.

Early Bird Tour

Prior to the beginning of the program, we will be offering optional early bird tours of campus. These walking tours will be approximately 25 minutes long and will depart from the east doors of the Holmes Student Center. Please be sure to arrive early to park and check-in prior to the tour.
