The NIU Difference: More than a Degree

Choosing a college is about more than finding the right major. It's about finding a place where you'll be supported, challenged and prepared for what's next.

Join us at NIU Rockford for Experience the NIU Difference: More Than a Degree, an evening designed for high school students and their families to explore the value of an NIU education.

You'll learn how NIU combines strong academics with hands-on experiences, meaningful connections and opportunities that prepare you for life after graduation. We'll talk about the student experience, affordability, faculty support, career preparation and the many ways you can get involved and build your network as a Huskie.

You'll also hear directly from people who know the NIU experience from different perspectives. A panel featuring a current student, NIU alum, parent, admissions professional and industry/employer partner will share their experiences and answer your questions about college, NIU and preparing for what's next.

Come with your questions. Leave with a better understanding of what an NIU education can make possible.
