ILMEA Choral Audition Workshop

Join Dr. Eric Johnson, Director of Choral Activities at NIU and Cor Cantiamo’s Artistic Director, along with members of Cor Cantiamo, ensemble in residence, for an ILMEA All State Choir Audition Preparation Workshop.  Check-in begins at 8:30 a.m. the School of Music Concert Hall Lobby. There is a $20 workshop registration fee for this event. A link to payment will be sent in the confirmation email.

The day includes:
- Group rehearsal of the All-State and Honors Choir selections 
- Tips for quality video recording to prepare for online audition submissions
- Scales and triad training to aid in audition preparation and strengthening students' musical skills

Following the workshop, you are invited to attend the 12:30 p.m. NIU vs. Maine football game at Huskie Stadium on Sat., Sept. 25. Students who register by Fri., Sept. 17, will be able to receive free tickets to the 12:30 p.m. NIU home football game.
