Start at the Holmes Student Center, Ground Floor - West Entrance.
8 to 9 a.m.
At check in, you'll pick up your orientation materials, receive your orientation advising appointment time and head to the start of your Orientation program.There's a Starbucks conveniently located next to check-in.

We welcome you and your family to NIU! During this session, you’ll learn about the day’s schedule of events and what to expect from your orientation experience.
NIU Platforms Overview
8:55 - 9:15 a.m.
We’ll share how you can make the most of the NIU Mobile app and help you to get more comfortable using Office 365, Blackboard and MyNIU. Feel free to use your own device to follow along.
Announcements and Family Sessions Overview
9:15 - 9:25 a.m.
Don’t forget to use the NIU Mobile app or a campus map while you explore campus. In addition to attending your advising appointment, the next block of time in your orientation schedule is the perfect opportunity to take care of any to-do items on your NIU checklist.
