NIU’s M.S.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction - Rockford Cohort

Our dynamic, engaging program deepens understanding of curriculum design, instructional strategies and education in general. It advances the knowledge and skills of practicing teachers and prepares graduates for leadership roles, including curriculum specialists, instructional coaches, educational consultants, professional development trainers and those seeking dual-credit endorsements. Throughout the program, you’ll refine your professional goals and improve learning environments in schools, workplaces and communities.

Beginning in Spring 2027, we will be launching an exciting new cohort opportunity in Rockford, with a focus on assessing curriculum and instruction. This cohort is open to anyone who meets admission requirements for our M.S.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction. Courses will be held at our NIU Rockford campus or online synchronous to meet the needs of working professionals.
